Imagine going clubbing as a boxing match, every time you enter the club its like entering the ring… the night itself is your opponent. Every shot or every alcoholic drink you take is a blow to you that weakens you the more hits you take but at the same time giving you more confidence to retaliate. You throw your punches by talking to girls and with every connection is a blow to the night… If a girl rejects you that’s just a block or a dodge but it shouldn’t stop you from throwing more punches. At your corner are your boys being a true wolfpack motivating and supporting you, giving you water during the breaks so you wake up a little from the hits your taking, keeping composed enough to continue throwing punches. Just like a 12 round fight you want to start the night off strong making your presence known striking with all you’ve got early as you know through the middle and later rounds it gets harder and you don’t want to leave all your punches for the last round as your  good punches have probably already gone. What you really want is that one, two punch that has you leaving with a girl, the night down for the count and you waking up in the morning as the victor…

How New York City Went Digital in 2011

Since 2010, New York City has strived to become a global digital leader. Mayor Michael Bloomberg and commissioner Katherine Oliver announced NYC Digital last July, with the mission to create a better civil society and stronger democracy with the use of technology – engaging, serving and connecting New York.

Rachel Sterne is the city’s first chief digital officer. Her goal at NYC Digital is to use technology and digital media to improve communication with residents and business and enhance government transparency.
